Black Pepper–Cinnamon Honey with Fruit & Ice Cream

Ingredients

1 cup honey
1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
1 cinnamon stick
2 cups chopped or sliced apricots, plums, peaches, or pineapple
2 pints vanilla bean ice cream
Rolled or wafer cookies, for garnish

Preparation

  1. Heat the honey in a small pot over low heat with the pepper and cinnamon stick. When ready to serve, toss the honey with the fruit and spill it over the ice cream in dessert dishes. Garnish with the cookies.
