Chilled Strawberry-Orange Soup

Ingredients

1 pound fresh or frozen unsweetened strawberries, slightly thawed
1 1/2 cups orange juice
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon grated peeled gingerroot
2 tablespoons lime juice (optional)

Preparation

    In a food processor or blender, process all the ingredients until smooth.

    Step 2

    If using fresh strawberries, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to chill thoroughly. If using frozen strawberries, serve or cover and refrigerate until needed.
