4 egg yolks
2 ounces sugar syrup
1 quart beer
Nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Beat the egg yolks until light and lemon-colored, then stir in the sugar syrup. Heat the beer to just under the boiling point and slowly add to the sweetened egg yolks, beating constantly.

    Step 2

    Serve in warmed 8-ounce mugs and grate nutmeg on top of each.
